Sambar Rice
Ingredients :-
For Masala Paste:
1 tspn Ghee
2 tbsp chana dal
1 tbsp white urad dal
1 tbsp coriander seeds
1 tspn mustard seeds
4 dry red chillies
1/4 cup fresh coconut, chopped
For Sambar Rice:
1 cup rice
1/2 cup pink lentils
1/4 cup Potato
1/4 cup Green Beans (French Beans), sliced
1/2 cup onion, chopped
2 tbspn Ghee
2 tbspn oil
1/2 tspn mustard seeds
1/2 tspn cumin (cumin)
2 dry red chillies
1 green chili, slit
1/8 tspn asafoetida (hing)
1/2 tspn turmeric powder (turmeric)
1/3 cup tamarind water
1 tbsp jaggery
4 cups of water
1 tspn tamarind pulp
salt to taste
2 tbspn Coriander leaves, chopped
Method :-

1.sabse pahle ek pan garam Kare us mein ghee dale ab us mein chana dal, urad dal dale aur golden brown hone de
2.ab us mein coriander seeds and mustard seeds dale aur fry Kare
3.ab us mein red chillies and coconut pieces dale aur fry Kare ab ek plate mein nikal le aur thanda hone rakh de thanda hone ke baad thoda pani dal ke grind kar le aur thick paste taiyar kare
Preparing Sambar Rice
1.sabse pahle rice and dal ko wash Kare aur soak karne ke liye rakh de 20 minutes ke liye
2.ab rice and dal ka pani nikal le aur ek pressure cooker mein dale aur vegetables bhi dale( carrot, potato, beans) and turmeric powder dale aur 4 cups Pani bhi dale and cooker ko pakane ke liye rakh de 4 whistle hone tak
3.ab ek kadai garam Kare us mein oil and ghee dale us mein mustard seeds, cumin seeds, hing, curry leaves and red chillis crackle hone de
4.ab sliced onions and green chillies dale, then tomatoes dale and fry kare
5.ab tamarin pulp dale, salt dale and jaggery dale and masala paste dale aur boil hone de
6.ab us mein boil rice and Vegetables mix kare
